    太平洋西北户外协会的愿景(Vision)是: To become a well regarded non-profit outdoor organisation to serve our communities. 成为一个备受推崇的非营利性户外组织,为我们的社区服务。 太平洋西北户外协会的使命(Mission)是: To improve safety and quality of outdoor experiences by providing practical and valuable resources through technology and onsite activities. 利用技术装备和现场活动提供实用且有价值的户外活动资源,提高户外运动的安全和质量。 太平洋西北户外协会的理事和义工有不少都是长年参加本地户外活动组织(比如加拿大童子军Scouts Canada和UV单车俱乐部UnitedVelo Cycling Club等等)的义工,他们参加过户外安全、环保以及野外生存技能的系统培训,对于本地户外组织的运作模式和管理方法都有一定的经验。我们协会力求在各种户外活动(比如徒步、皮划艇、自行车以及冬季滑雪等等)组织和安全保障等方面做到程序化、制度化和规范化,通过培训和实地练机会习、降低户外活动的风险。 根据我们的实际情况,我们的服务范围先从华人社区开始,将来会服务于其他种族社区,尤其是缺乏户外经验的新移民和少数族裔。协会采用会员制,为每名正式会员和注册义工购买第三方责任保险。同时,非会员在签署免责条款的前提下,也可以有限制地参加我们的某些低风险活动。协会设立了对每次活动进行风险评估和审核的内部管理流程,致力于对领队的培养和培训,并协助会员间分享户外活动的知识和乐趣。 我们协会从成立到现在,已经组织了以下活动: 2022年: 2023年: 2024年到目前为止: 2. 雪鞋活动: 元旦日Mt.
