Our Vision

To become a well regarded non-profit outdoor organization to serve our communities.

01

Our Mission

To improve the safety and quality of outdoor experiences by providing practical and valuable resources through technology and onsite activities.

02

Our Purpose

Our association strives to be procedural, institutionalised, and standardised in the organization and safety of various outdoor activities (such as hiking, kayaking, cycling, and winter skiing, etc.), and to reduce the risks of outdoor activities through training and field exercises.

03

From the number of events we deliver to the members we work with, our impact has been growing over the years, all thanks to the support of our communities.

WHO

Many of the directors and volunteers of the Pacific Northwest Outdoor Association have participated in local outdoor activities organizations (such as Scouts Canada and UnitedVelo Cycling Club, etc.) for many years. They have participated in outdoor safety, environmental protection and wild survival training of skills, and experience in the operation model and management methods of local outdoor organizations. Our association strives to be procedural, institutionalized, and standardized in the organization and safety of various outdoor activities (such as hiking, kayaking, cycling, and winter skiing, etc.), and to reduce the risks of outdoor activities through training and field exercises.

WHAT

Based on our current situation, our service scope starts with the Chinese community, but will serve other ethnic communities in the future, especially new immigrants and ethnic minorities who lack outdoor experience.

The association adopts a membership system and purchases third-party liability insurance for each member and registered volunteer. At the same time, non-members can also participate in some of our low-risk activities with restrictions under the premise of signing a waiver form.

The association has established an internal management process for risk assessment and review of each activity, is committed to the cultivation and training of team leaders, and assists members in sharing knowledge and fun of outdoor activities.
