PNOA Social Gathering Ended with a Bang

The PNOA’s social gathering took place beautifully at Aldergrove Blacktail Picnic Shelter on June 29, 2024. The day was perfect, featuring a clear blue sky, fluffy white clouds, a gentle breeze, delicious food, and great company.

Special thanks to Roy, our dedicated planning director, and James Zhang for his hard work in filming the event. We also appreciate the contributions of the executors, donors, auctioneers, and all the new and returning friends who made this gathering memorable.

Yuki demonstrated the BCA Avalanche Airbag backpack with a cylinder and hand pump, and avalanche essential gear included transceiver, probe, shovel which’s highlighting top-tier outdoor self-rescue technology. Li Wan shared the use of the Application “Maps.Me” and traditional paper maps for outdoor navigation. Timothy introduced us to the Application Komoot, while Paul shared insights on the Application AllTrails. Additionally, everyone got hands-on practice with bear spray, an essential safety tool for outdoor adventurers.

One of the day’s highlights was the game session, expertly organized by Yolanda. The interactive games had everyone laughing and engaging enthusiastically. The excitement continued with a thrilling lottery event, featuring a variety of fantastic prizes that ensured everyone walked away a winner.

We are grateful for the joyful moments shared today and look forward to seeing our PNOA community grow stronger. Here’s to many more successful gatherings in the future!
