A Memorable Winter Camping Trip at Manning Park

From December 12-15, 2024, the Pacific Northwest Outdoor Association (PNOA) led by Suzey, Tony and Hugh ventured into the snowy wonderland of Manning Park for three days and two nights of unforgettable snow camping.

Our campsite was a true winter paradise, with tents pitched amidst heavy snowfall. The cold was no match for our double sleeping bags, which kept us warm and cozy throughout the freezing nights. The snow fell so heavily that we could hear the gentle rustling sound of it landing on the tent, even while we slept—an experience that felt both surreal and soothing.

The days were packed with adventure and joy. We tried ice fishing for the first time and was thrilled to catch a big grass through the frozen lake! Gathering around the fire, we brewed tea, shared stories, and enjoyed delicious food and drinks, surrounded by a winter wonderland.

Manning Park’s snow-covered trails and serene beauty added to the magic of the trip. It was a blend of challenge and camaraderie, making every moment both meaningful and memorable.

白天的活动充满了冒险和欢乐。我们第一次尝试了冰上钓鱼，并兴奋地通过冰洞钓到了一条大草！晚上，我们围坐在火堆旁，煮茶、聊天、分享美食和饮品，在冬日的仙境中享受这份宁静和温暖。

曼宁公园被雪覆盖的小径和宁静的自然美景为此次旅行增添了更多的魔力。这是一场挑战与友情的融合，让每一刻都变得有意义且值得回忆。
