Great Cycle Challenge 2022

Pacific Northwest Outdoor Association (PNOA) organized a team (PNOA GCC Team) to participate in 2022 Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds for SickKids Foundation to help fund children’s health research and children’s cancer treatment. Refer to this link for the details of the challenge: https://greatcyclechallenge.ca/Pages/About/the-cause/about-the-challenge

The team set up two goals: to ride 2000 KM, and to raise $2500 for SickKids Foundation in the month of August 2022.

By August 31st, 2022, we rode 2228 KM and raised $5759. Refer to this link for our team’s challenge results: https://greatcyclechallenge.ca/Teams/PNWOAGCCTeam

This was a very successful team event. PNOA GCC Team included 10 members. Among them, 8 participated in this event for the first time, and 3 were occasional riders with minimum cycling experience. A series of group riding activities have also accomplished PNOA’s mission by promoting road cycling safety while enjoying the outdoor cycling experience.

Our story has been also highlighted in FMCBC E-news September 2022 (cyberimpact.com).

    Rockwall BP
