PNOA SUP Adventure – River of Golden Dreams, Whistler June 13, 2026

On June 13, 2026, PNOA members gathered in beautiful Whistler for an unforgettable stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) adventure along the famous River of Golden Dreams. Blessed with great weather and surrounded by stunning scenery, the day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and outdoor fun.

A total of 15 participants joined this exciting journey, led by Paul Tan and Timothy, with Yolanda, Rick, and White Water serving as assistant leaders. Their support and guidance helped ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The River of Golden Dreams offered more than just a relaxing paddle. The flowing current and occasional fast-moving sections added an extra layer of challenge and excitement, allowing participants to develop their paddling skills while enjoying the adventure. Along the way, we were treated to breathtaking mountain views, peaceful natural surroundings, and delightful encounters with local wildlife, including ducks and adorable ducklings gliding alongside us.

After paddling more than 10 kilometers, the group successfully completed the journey at Green Lake. Tired but happy, everyone celebrated another memorable day of exploration and connection in nature.

Trip Tips for Future Participants:

  • Bring extra warm clothing in case you fall into the water.
  • Wear sunscreen to protect yourself from UV exposure.
  • Bring a hat and sunglasses.
  • Use an eyewear retainer to prevent losing glasses in the water.

A special thank you to all of our volunteers, leaders, assistants, and participants for making this event such a success. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and positive energy made the day truly memorable.

We look forward to seeing everyone again on our next adventure!

    Mt Seymour
