Trail Cleaning up at Lizzie Lake with BCMC

Itinerary

June 17, Saturday.
1, Drive up to Lizzie Bay Rec area and join other volunteers with BCMC at 9:00AM
task briefing.
2, work with BCMC to clean up trail
3, Return back to Driftwood campground in evening to setup group tents(BCMC has secured the camp sites for us).
4, Overnight at campground
June 18, Sunday
1, Lizzie lake trail cleaning and maintenance
3,get back to the trailhead parking lot at 3-4pm, drive back home

Power tools to be used( you can check out YouTube if you are interested in operating them):
1, Stihl MS170 Chain Saw 16
2,Dtihl bush cutter

Note:
Long pants and long sleeve working clothes are recomended as Ticks were reported on the Lizzie Lake trail.

  • Peronal Protection Equipment(PPE) to be prepared by PNOA and distributed at the trailhead:
  • 1, Working gloves
  • 2, Protecting goggles
  • 3, Ear plugs
  • 5, Chainsaw chaps(1 pairs)
  • Personal Equipment
  • 1, carcamping gear for one night (Sleeping bag. participants can determine if they willing to share)
  • 2, day hiking gear for 2 days,
  • 3, offline maps (there is no cell coverage, recommend to download MapsME or other offline maps in advance) on the phone.
  • 4, Communication dwvice: walkie talkie, Chanel: 1816
  • 5, First aid kit
