- July 26th . Meet at Victoria by 4 PM .Drive to Port McNeil. at night
- July 27th – Aug 2nd Launch from Telegraph Cove – 与鲸同行.
- Aug 2nd back to Telegraph Cove
- Aug 3rd return to Vancouver
>> Requirements
- Vetted Experience: Must be an experienced paddler with at least one prior multi-night kayak expedition led by Jane Zhao.
- T-Rescue Certification: Every member must have taken and passed a documented Kayak Safety & T-Rescue Course.
- Immersion Readiness: Full drysuits or 5mm wetsuits are required for all Johnstone Strait crossings.
- Strength to Rescue requirement: All participants must be physically capable of performing a full Heave-and-Haul (T-Rescue) on a loaded expedition kayak.
- No Back-Off Policy: In a capsize or emergency, every member is expected to lean in, not pull away.
- Endurance: Expect 15–20km of paddling per day. Participants must have the stamina to maintain a solid “Expedition Pace” without fatiguing to the point where they cannot perform an emergency rescue at the end of the day.
