Who We Are
Many of the directors and volunteers of the Pacific Northwest Outdoor Association have participated in local outdoor activities organizations (such as Scouts Canada, UnitedVelo Cycling Club, etc.) for many years. They have participated in outdoor safety, environmental protection, wilderness survival skills training, and experience in the operation model and management methods of local outdoor organizations.

当夏日的风拂过太平洋西北地区的山林,有一支队伍正在为生命奋力骑行。今天,我们怀着无比自豪的心情,分享太平洋西北户外协会(PNOA)在2025年加拿大”Great Cycle Challenge”中取得的骄人成绩——这不仅是数字的突破,更是爱心的接力,是17颗炽热之心为抗击儿童癌症共同谱写的动人篇章。 超越预期:里程碑式骑行 从第一天起,PNOA 团队就设定了雄心勃勃的目标,通过 SickKids 基金会为希望与治愈注入动力。我们的筹款目标?5,000 加元。我们实现了什么?高达8,694.59 加元的筹款额——几乎是目标的两倍!每一元善款都通过SickKids基金会直接用于儿童癌症的创新治疗和治愈,支持这样一个令人心碎的现实:在加拿大,癌症夺走了比任何其他疾病更多的年轻生命,每年有超过 1,700 名儿童被诊断出患病。 在骑行方面,我们集体目标是5,000 公里。团队以223 次激动人心的骑行、7,746 公里的总里程远远超越目标,骑行总里程意味着我们足以从温哥华骑行往返多伦多整整两个来回!在全国范围内,我们排名所有队伍的第 51 位,领先数百支团队,并在与我们同类别的队伍中排名第22位,展现了PNOA的坚韧与社区精神。 聚光灯下的明星骑手 让这项挑战真正特别的是数据背后的故事。6名首次参加这个活动的新人们给我们的队伍带来了新鲜的活力,包括杰出人物如Laura,她征服了448.8 公里并筹集了547 加元,以及Lisa,她奋力骑行538.9 公里,带来了673 加元的善款。这些新人全力投入,激励着我们所有人。 鼓舞人心的少年勇士: GCC的宗旨是为孩子们而战,而我们最年轻的成员展现了惊人的毅力。让我们为6岁的Avi热烈鼓掌,他骑行了惊人的326.5公里并筹得880加元;同样为8岁的Zoe喝彩,她奋力完成了609.7公里的骑行,也筹得了880加元。他们的小轮子转动着大梦想,他们用行动证明:关爱无年龄之分,善举从小开始!他们是激励我们所有人的榜样!…
